Disney on Ice

This past weekend we had a mommy daughter date and took our girls to see Disney Princesses on Ice. Tawnie and I had been talking about maybe going and then Kristi called to say she and Chuck wanted to buy tickets for Sadie's birthday so that made up our minds for us. And we are so glad that we went! There were 7 of us: Me, Kylie, and Sadie, Tawnie and Madison, and Tami and Paiton. The girls loved it. Next time, we will have to remember to dress up like princesses! (Well, the little girls can dress up!)
Sadie eating the cheese off her pizza.
Kylie, already old enough that she had to sit by her friends instead of her mom.

The girls at intermission with their new wands. I have a suggestions for anyone thinking of going next time they are in town. Eat before you go and then leave ALL cash, credit/debit/ATM cards, check books, etc at home. Then you will have no choice but to tell the kids no when they see all the food, $12 snow cones, and booths FULL of sparkling princess items. This was the view I had through half of the show until Sadie hit me right above the eye and I'd had enough and took the wand away.

Sadie's favorite part of the whole show was Minnie Mouse. As soon as the show was over she said she wanted to go "give Minne a hug". She was so mad at me when I told her she couldn't. Her three year old mind just couldn't understand why Minnie Mouse was just behind that castle and we couldn't go see her.

Spoiled!!

Cheesecake Recipe

At Annie and Kristi's request...

8 Oz. Cool Whip (frozen)
8 Oz. Cream Cheese
8 Oz. Sour Cream
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 Graham Cracker Pie Crusts

Mix the first 5 ingredients together and pour half in each pie crust. Let set in the fridge for at least one hour. I usually let it set overnight.

Wrinkled Little Toes

I hate being sick, and I hate even more when I have to call in sick and miss work. If I'm off work, I want to be doing something productive or fun. Not laying around doing nothing/sleeping. Monday morning I woke up with an awful head cold and called in sick. I went right back to sleep and slept until noon, waking up with just enough time to get Kylie ready and to school. I came home thinking of all the things that I wanted to get done on my "day off". Laundry...cleaning...blogging...yeah right! As I undressed to get in the shower the bathtub just looked so much...easier, for lack of a better word. As soon as I got in of course Brynlie started fussing so I grabbed her and Sadie and got them both in with me. Once I lied down I realized just how sick I still was. I didn't have the energy to get me and both of the girls OUT of the bathtub so we all soaked for an hour. Brynlie has never had a bath that long before and her poor, wrinkled little toes showed it! They were so cute I just had to take a picture.

Sasha...this is the bouncer that I was talking about.
Looking more and more like my dad...
Look at my blue eyed beauty...Now if only she keeps her blue eyes!

Sold

Jared and I have decided to make sure that we are in a better position financially, and one of our big decisions was to sell his 4-wheeler and finish the basement with the money. His brother Justin posted it online for us (Thanks Justin!!!) one night last week and we had two offers first thing the next morning. It was gone that afternoon. Once again, Jared has had to sell a toy for his family. Last time it was his Valkyrie. We are so grateful for a husband/daddy that puts the needs of his family ahead of his own. Now, if any of you are bored this summer, come on over and we will put you to work.

More moments with Kylie and Sadie

Before loading pictures onto the computer I turned the camera on Kylie. Without saying a word to each other I began taking pictures, and she began posing. She LOVES the camera!

Tonight Kylie came up to me and said "Mommy, I know what people have when they don't have money. They have horses."

The other day I was making Cheesecake (why, oh why did you give me that recipe mom??!!) and Sadie came in very excited and said "Are you making beaters?"

A couple of nights a week Sadie will come get in bed with me and Jared. She always comes in and wakes me up saying "Mommy, I sick of my bed".

The three newest South cousins (and their mommys).

Brynlie was born the end of September, Tyler was born the beginning of December, and Kayla was born the first of February.

Sadie is 3!

Pictures of Sadie's birthday party at Jungle Jim's. Better late than never! I'm feel like I'm starting to sound like a broken record...Jungle Jim's, Jungle Jim's, Jungle Jim's. We will be back there on Friday for Paiton birthday too. Sadie must be a very loved little girl because we had over 25 people at her party. Of course, almost everyone was family.

The birthday Princess...

Blowing out the candles.

Opening her presents. She was more than spoiled!

Opening her mommy's favorite present, the book Grandma Merrell spent hours making.

Riding the rides...Jennifer...just one of the kids!
